David specialises in insurance litigation, personal injury claims and challenging administrative decisions. David has worked for the largest insurance companies in Australia and in leading law firms in Sydney for over 12 years. His experience in working for both insurers and clients enables him to have a superior knowledge in representing his clients for their claims. David’s clients describe him as genuine, knowledgeable and ‘a top bloke’.
David first graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Health Science and Nursing and has worked in the past as a Nurse in various Hospitals in Sydney. Since then, he has completed a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Technology, Sydney and has been admitted from 2013. Through his earlier work in the medical industry, David has a particular interest in medical disputes in court litigation and administrative reviews. David’s knowledge in law and nursing leads to early resolution of claims by dealing with the real issues in dispute.
David has run multiple cases in the Supreme and District Courts and has appeared unassisted in several interlocutory matters. He is technical, tactical and diligent and advocates a straightforward approach to resolving disputes.
Dave enjoys helping and navigating people through the complex legal minefield that is insurance law. David is an advocate for social justice and has partook in several access to justice programs and hackathons held by the NSW Law Society.
He has published articles and given seminars on insurance law and apportionment and was a member of the now disbanded Medico Legal Committee of the NSW Law Society. He remains a member of the City of Sydney Lawyers Society, the NSWYL Civil Litigation Committee and the NSW Law Society.
